About Shallop.com
I’ve owned this domain since 1995 and initially created a webserver using SCO OpenDesktop 3.0 and a PPP connection to the ‘net. Starting around 2007, I moved the server to the Linux platform and it’s morphed it’s way across a vast variety of home-pages. I’ve pretty much run the gamut of home-server sites using all available site builders. About six years ago, the ‘net connection was updated to DSL and I’ve always paid for premium bandwidth. Why, I have no idea.
Starting this year, I moved the site hosting to the cloud and re-routed all the MX traffic to another domain handler. I retired the linux server as a web-service and am re-birthing it to on another project. I’m using the latest rev of wordpress for the site and you’re welcome to sign-up for an account should you desire one. I don’t think anyone actually reads this blog – my posts are too infrequent and narrow in scope to be of interest. It’s a creative outlet that doesn’t involve anything other than random spewing of words.
Regardless. Thanks for visiting!
